Street Style: Sexy vs Sporty
I don't have much use for jackets and coats here in Miami. Only when you're inside a touristy restaurant and they have the air conditioning turned to arctic, do you need a jacket.
A good alternative for any kind of cooler weather, is the bomber jacket. It makes any outfit that little more casual and laid back, it looks good with everything from cute dresses, to jeans, to cut offs. You can wear it with heels, boots or flats, and you can also steal it from your boyfriend's closet ;)
This one I have is on the expensive side because it's from Saint Laurent and I fell in love with it before I found any decent ones on the market. But my intuition was on track because now I'm seeing them everywhere on the high street labels. I've placed a few other options below, just in case you fall in love with the style too.
This outfit can be done two ways - Sexy or Sporty. This PepperMayo skirt is so unusual. Cream, perforated (faux) leather on the front, grey marle cotton on the back. Super stretchy and comfortable, and can be paired with simple black or white blouses, or you can brighten it up with a pop of colour. Here I'm working it with a cobalt blue cami from Kore Boutique and finishing the look with sleek jewellery from Svelte Metals.
To soften the look for day time or a less dressy event, I added my new favorite jacket to give it more of a sporty chic feel.
Let me know if you like the look!
Shot by the fabulous Ally from Shutter Gem by Ally Simons - this lady is an absolute rockstar and so easy to work with! It was a pleasure shooting with her, and I LOVE how she captured the looks.
