Winter Warmer
As a summer gypsy for the last 7 odd years, I'm not really accustomed to dealing with the cold. To be fair, Sydney's winter is mild compared to those in the Northern Hemisphere but I still feel it all the same. We've still been lucky enough to have sunny days though, and I ventured out with the beautiful Margarita of The Blonde Avenue to capture some of it.
Every winter needs a go-to knit, and this thick cable knit sweater is the perfect colour and fabric to keep you snuggled up against the cold in style. It's from Aussie boutique Feather Fox, they hand select their pieces for the Wanderer's wardrobe - befitting for a wanderlust gypsy myself - and their style is a cross between dreamy bohemian and country girl. I've shot for them a few times and love their style, I can't wait till it's summer again to see their new range, but they also have some great longer dresses and layered pieces for this cool snap.
My makeup was from all-natural and vegan brand Neek Skin Organics and to complement the earthy tones, my perfect nude manicure by The Parlour Room included a pop of colour with a feature nail.
I love the warm and sun kissed photos we created - despite the chilly day - I've found a kindred spirit in the love of fashion and creating beautiful pictures! Margarita and I will hopefully be able to shoot together again soon, you can see some of my work photographing her on her latest blogs Winter Florals, Cocoon and Blue Jean Baby, and there are more photos to come to my blog from our last couple of shoots also.
Check out the whole Feather Fox collection here.
