Spring Into Summer

Sport luxe is a huge ongoing trend for summer and I love all the inspirations that have been coming back from the 80s and 90s.  The supermodels back then (my favourites) were super fit, sporty and confident - think Elle, Cindy, Claudia, Helena, Linda - all the glamazons with long legs, toned bodies, beautiful smiles and curves to die for. Swimwear is drawing huge inspiration from sport luxe style and it's coming back in even better colours, prints and shapes, all designed to maximise what you want to draw attention to, and give you far better support than was previously available.

Baku Swimwear's new range caught my eye, and I LOOOOOOVE their campaign featuring the ever-so-stunning Chanel Stewart.  It takes a little bit of searching to find good bikinis that have great bust support for all those beach activities, but are still fun and flirty, so I decided to test out a range of styles for you at my local beach.   Check out my favourites shot by my very talented buddy Steve Wall!

This sexy colour block bikini is a great way to rock a traditional style with the security needed for volley ball, beach cricket, or ducking under waves, particularly for a bigger bust.  The wide straps give lots of extra support and don't dig in.

All the support of a bra, all the fun of a bright, tropical print for summer!

This bikini is perfect for paddling around, either avec or sans board.  Love the crop top style that you can rock under cute little beach dresses and the geometric print really pops!

This halter neck style is great for a little extra coverage and awesome for running around on the beach.  The colours are amazing and really set off a healthy summer (faux) glow.  I'm using Bondi Sands ;)
