Spiced Up
I recently took the Skinny Mint 28 Day Detox Challenge to supplement my fitness regime as I was getting back into my training again after some lazy time off. Hey, we all need it now and then! I thought I would share a few of my favourite additions to spice up your iced or hot tea - whether it s a regular English Breakfast, Herbal or Detox teas. These also make impressive jugs if you're making tea for lots of people - particularly iced tea in the summer months by the pool with a few friends.
Berry Bliss: I love using fresh berries that are in season that are full of antioxidants. I added blueberries, strawberries and raspberries to brewed Skinny Mint Morning Boost tea, then chilled it in the fridge to allow the flavours to develop. This one is great either before or after your workout.
Immunity Booster: A great way to warm up on a winter's night, and boost your immunity against all the nasty viruses that come with the cooler weather, is to add fresh-cut grapefruit slices to the Skinny Mint Hot Night Cleanse tea as its brewing, and then a dash of raw Manuka honey which has great antibacterial properties, soothes a sore throat and balances out the spicy ginger flavour.
Tropicana: For a tropical, summery flavour, add some slices of fresh pineapple, lime, kiwi fruit and orange as the Skinny Mint Morning Boost tea is brewing, and then chill. I make large pitchers of it and top it up with ice and a dash of coconut water as I'm serving it, or put it in my water bottles that I carry around all day. Enjoy in the sunshine in your favourite bikini :)
After Dinner Mint: I add fresh mint leaves to my tea while it's still brewing. This Moroccan favourite (without the 27 cubes of sugar) is great for digestion after a meal and also prevents you from going overboard with desert. The flavour is fresh and satisfying and it's a great way to wind down with a book before bed.
After 28 days of the Skinny Mint Teatox I definitely feel leaner with less belly bloat. It's a really gentle detox and doesn't require drastic changes to your lifestyle or diet, which I love! If you'd like to try it out, head to the Skinny Mint website here.
