Paco Loves Luna
More exciting news guys!
As you all know, I'm obsessed with all things health and wellness. I've rarely been the type to body build or always have rock hard abs, but I truly believe that living and active and healthy lifestyle has given me the longevity in my career so far. I feel as strong as ever, mobile enough to keep up my flexibility, and have the energy to push through the sometimes 14-16 hour days on set required in my line of work.
Health and fitness has opened up different aspects of my career too. Back when I was modelling in Miami and my agent told me "go and get fitness images, Sports Authority want to book you", my reply to him was "but I'm not a fitness model?". Back then, fitness models were super buff and ripped, and with my scrawny frame, although lean and athletic, I didn't seem like the right fit for a sports model. However, I did what I was told, and a whole new industry opened up to me. Flash forward to today's exponentially-growing fitness and lifestyle industry, and that style of work has taken over my fashion bookings. I was even inspired to get qualified as a personal trainer (more on that in the coming weeks)!
Paco Loves Luna is a brand I have been thinking about creating for the longest time. I have an obsession with activewear because I use it EVERY DAY, and I like to reward my hard work by feeling good when working out. I opened my little online store this week stocking brands that I have worked with for years. Brands of tights that I have owned for 3+ years - worked, washed and worn them to death and they're still perfect in shape, colour and pattern. I KNOW the fabrics are great, I KNOW the construction is solid, I KNOW the quality is incredible, so why not bring them here?
If you're looking to update your workout wardrobe, treat yourself for all your hard work, motivate yourself to get up in the morning for a sweat session, or even buy a present for someone that you know they'll actually use, check it out. I'm starting off with the Flow Collection - made from recycled plastic bottles, so they're eco friendly, and perfect for yoga, Pilates and resistance workouts - and next will be the Flex Collection - sturdier fabrics and extra bust support, designed for higher impact workouts - in the next few weeks. The Curve Collection for plus size babes and the Mama Collection of maternity activewear for our fit mamas-to-be will be dropping in the new year. I'll also be looking to add mens activewear soon too, so that we can kit the boys out too!
Let me know what you think? I've poured my heart and soul into creating it all from the ground up, but I LOVE feedback, and really value your opinions!
Until next time,
Lauren
